Nesfjella Mountains offer great opportunities for those who want to sail on skis with ski sails or kites. Both Buvann by Buvassbrenna and Myking by Fagerhøy Lodge are great places to get started for beginners.

Fagerhøy:
Drive through Rukkedalen from Nesbyen to Rukke. Turn right towards Myking. Great plateaus for ski sailing close to Fagerhøy Lodge. Read more at www.fagerhoy.no

Buvann:
Drive the same road through Rukkedalen from Nesbyen, passing Rukke up to Buvassbrenna. Parking at Buvann. Great training grounds on the frozen lake for both ski sailing and kiting. Sailing tours in Nesfjella:
The southern part of Nesfjella is ideal for those who want to sail in the mountains. Drive through Rukkedalen towards Nesbyen Alpine Centre and turn right towards Nystølen. Follow the yellow ski track from Nystølen to Øyvann (about 45 min). By Øyvann, you have arrived at a high mountain plateau that goes on for miles to the south towards Norefjell. This high mountains area is ideal for exciting sailing tours.
