Vassfaret is situated in the municipality of Flå, between Hallingdal and Valdres. Vassfaret was inhabited until 1920.

Drive into Vassfaret to Hangen and further on to Lake Øyvatn.

The trail is 16 km long and has 20 information boards.

The hike is 6-8 hours long.
