Kjerringtorget, the Ladies’ Market

Market days where women exhibit and sell their own products. 175 booths with food, gifts, clothes, useful things, arts and crafts and much more.

250 happy ladies fill the town centre during the last weekend of August. Kjerringtorget is a meeting ground for female entrepreneurs and professionals. The Sunflower Award is awarded to an outstanding product with development potential, preferably made by traditional materials used in an untraditional way. Enjoy the market days and do some shopping. You’ll find strange, peculiar, useful, beautiful, tasteful and fun products for you to take home.
 
Goals for Kjerringtorget:
- To promote products made by women to the town population and visitors by having a market day in Nesbyen town centre
- To help create a forum for the manufacture and sale of products made by women
- To contribute to the continued use of the town centre and town square for market days
- To promote Norwegian products
- The products displayed on Kjerringtorget are to be entirely produced by women and preferably environmentally friendly
