Ranten is situated at Myking, about 1000 meters above sea level. Panoramic views the south and west with Lake Mykingsjøen in the foreground.

The hotel has 32 rooms and 57 beds and several cosy lounges, restaurant and fireplace. Relax with live music in the autumn and winter season.

The hotel also features a swimming section with a swimming pool, and sauna. Ranten aslo has a ski and sledding centre with two pistes, each approximately 700 meters long.
